Rant rant rant! Thanks.
You were biking back to your house one day and on your way you almost injured 5 people, all Japanese, but why?! Why didn’t you risk running over someone of a different nationality? The answer is….
JAPANESE PEOPLE DON’T KNOW HOW TO WALK ON THE STREET!!!
It is TRUE!
Sounds racist? It’s not. This might simply stem from the fact that Japan is too safe, so people don’t even… but it is really annoying AF.
They don’t look left and right to make sure the road is clear before walking.
If they do, they only look at one direction. Seriously though, it’s a two way street, so you might want to look both ways?
Aside from the road signs, they walk everywhere with their eyes glued to their phones. Okay, i have to admit that this is my problem too, but i don’t look at my phone when the road is potentially dangerous, like a bike lane for example, or a cliff!
They even have a wrong sense of distance, especially those Oba-chans!
When you are on your bike 10 meters away, you see someone jump in fright, and you’re wondering, something must have happened to them, “wayyy over there” , let me get a closer look. Nothing happened, it was you, 10m away from an Oba-chan and she looks at you like you killed her entire family!
Some people even walk while looking backwards. NO joke!
Ok, end of rant, but come on Japanese people! If you are not going to look left and right before crossing the road, at least look in front of you when you walk!
